Two friends and I took a french pastry class this summer and tried our hands at macaroons – they were fantastic! Don’t know if I have the skill or the tools to recreate the experience in my own kitchen, so I may just have to check out those bakeries next time I’m in NYC. Or, maybe splurge for a delivery!
I would love to learn how to make them. They are a constant obsession/fascination of mine! Last xmas I got the book I heart Macarons. I still have not attempted them yet, but should!! xo
Wonderful! I may have to get the Italian Summer cookbook just for the jacket alone! Funny – I’ve been eyeing those little acorn salt & peppers and the Jacques Torres hot chocolate mix looks divine!!
Thanks!
Jacques Torres makes the best hot chocolate, and I too, want that Italian summer cookbook.
